There will be a practice round on Monday June 23rd, and Celebrity Pro Am held on Tuesday June 24th, 2008. There will be a pairing pick where 8 celebrities, and the 24 Junior golfers will be paired with streams of 4 using a random drawing.
Doug will host a clinic at the driving range that morning, and then the teams will Tee off between 10:00a.m and 11:00a.m. for a great best ball tournament.
The Celebrity Pro/Am will be followed by a silent auction, then a Live Auction of many priceless items from Doug's personal collection of one of a kind memorabilia. The day will end with a Memorable Show with fantastic Celebrities, A day you won't soon forget.
Wednesday June 25, through Friday June 27th, will be heated competition among the best amateur golfers in the world culminating in a Men's and Women's Champion crowned Friday Afternoon. Saturday June 28th will be a party for a select few at Doug's home for hamburgers and hot dogs! An event to remember for the rest of your life.

"The Doug Sanders Classic " will be played on November 12th, 2007 at the Palmer Course at the Woodlands wit a Shotgun Start at 12:00 PM. There will be a Gala after the golf which will include the Doug Sanders, Janie Frickie, Charley Pride, Johnny Nash, Scott Record, Peter Marshall, Dean Scott and many more. Teams are available and tables of 10 are also available. Come to the Woodlands and have the time of your life!

International Junior to be played in
USA 2008
Doug Sanders announced today that his
"Doug Sanders International Junior Championship" will be played
in the USA
in 2008. The date and venue will be announced in December.
First played in 1978 the event has had
many notable winners including Stephen Elkington and Adam Scott of Australia, Andrew Magee USA and
has seen winners from 10 different countries.
Mr. Sanders also announced that his
good friend David Healy of Australia has been appointed
as the Tournament Director for the Championship.

Sanders inducted into his fourth
Hall of Fame
Doug Sanders is regarded as one of the
best professional golfers ever to play the game. This Cedartown,
Ga., native has
amassed 21 victories on the PGA and Senior PGA Tours. Mr. Sanders' golf
credentials include five PGA Tour wins in 1961. He was a Ryder Cup team
member in 1967. Because he placed second in the 1959 PGA Championship,
the 1961 U.S. Open, the 1966 British Open, the 1970 British Open, and the
1987 U.S. Senior Open, he is often viewed as the perennial runner-up in
major championships.
He has made his mark in golf by
sponsoring the Doug Sanders International Junior Championship for
top-ranked juniors around the world. He was instrumental in raising tens
of thousands of dollars when the Georgia state legislature passed
a bill for a scholarship foundation that enabled underprivileged students
to go to college. Among his many honors, he has been inducted into the
Florida Sports Hall of Fame, the Georgia Sports Hall of Fame, and the
Texas Sports Hall of Fame.
Doug Sanders was inducted into the Georgia
Golf Hall of Fame on January 14, 1989.
